Summary of Cover

A Personal Accident policy normally covers an insured person against any unexpected physical injury to the body. Unless the injury or the accident causing it is excluded the policy, any resultant injury will attract either a lump sum or a periodic payment from the Company.

Key benefits

The Company will pay the following benefits as a percentage of the sum insured

• Death (including the disappearance of the insured person for a period of time as laid out in the relevant legislation of the HK government) - 100% of the sum insured will normally be paid


• Permanent Disablement - depending on the severity of the disablement, a percentage, up to 100%, of the sum insured will be paid. E.g. in the case of the loss of eyesight from both eyes, 100% of the sum insured will be paid


• Temporary Disablement - an agreed sum will be paid per week for the period in which the insured person is unable to perform all or part of his usual duties

Medical Expenses - Subject to a maximum amount as agreed, the Company will reimburse the medical expenses incurred for the treatment by a qualified medical professional
