While a comprehensive Fire Insurance policy may take care of the physical damages brought on to your business by an accident, it takes a Business Interruption coverage to protect you from the loss of earnings you may have to bear due to an interruption in your operations. Business Interruption insurance could also provide you the additional cost of working so that you have sufficient resources to take care of utilities, payroll, loans and other obligations while your business is in the process of being restored.
** Please note that Business Interruption is not sold as a standalone policy. Either purchase it in conjunction with your Property All Risk policy or Fire policy, or under package products such as Office Protect and Commercial Multi-Cover.
